Is the Henriksen company still user friendly?

Anybody deal with Henriksen latley? I know in the past they had the BEST customer service EVER. But....I see their amps are never discounted (because they must be great) and I recently emailed them to ask for availability of an amp with a different color tolex (other than black).

They came back to say that to use a different color than black would cost an extra $300. Is tolex in a different color that expensive? Is this just a rip off place now?

Does not sound like it's the musician friendly place it used to be...but maybe I expect too much. Any thoughts? Is white tolex that much more expensive than black...on a BUD?? Likely less than a yard is needed..lol.

and whenever I encounter an uptight schmuck like you I
automatically add a few hundred to the quote, because

their innate superiority, based on their selection
of a performance genre which has recording sales
so far in the cellar you need to be a fuckin' miner
to see 'em. Jazz beats only "children's music" when
it comes to the marketplace.

would take the fact that adherence to an utterly failed
