Pickup to get Kenny Burrell/Pat Martino tone for 7 string?

Hi all, just got another 7 string, this one a Schecter Omen 7. Wanted a solid body 7 I could knock around to add to my Eastman Elite 7. Paid 200 for it used at guitar center and am very happy with the quality and looks. Great neck with flat radius. I want to put a pickup in the neck to get as close to possible Kenny Burrell's tone, which has always been my favorite. Super warm, with his standard humbucker in his CS400 and Polytone Minibrute. Not on all of his records but most. I have gotten that tone with '57 classics that came in my Wes Montgomery--not available in 7 string. But I see the Seymour Duncan Benedetto B7. I wonder if it's warm like that, or more tuned to picking up acoustic sound (which it says in their page). I have the Kent Armstrong on my Eastman which I like a lot but it doesn't quite do the warmth of Burrell. There are so many Seymour Duncan 7 string humbuckers and most are metal with way overamped output, so not what I need.

Anyone know what the Benedetto would sound like? Or have suggestions?

Thanks.

I don't know about pickups, but I get a large increase in warmth and softness of tone with a pick of either Agate or petrified wood. I have found them to be vastly different from other materials.
