Is there any News on Kenny Burrell

I haven't seen any news about Kenny Burrell since last May.
Has anybody heard anything?

I haven't seen any news about Kenny Burrell since last May.
Has anybody heard anything?

His gofundme page is still operative. She's now managed to accrue
$248k; her initial goal wask $100k.

I think all the questions have been answered regarding his
health--fairly good for an old dude, his insurance--he's got some, his
income--he's still getting some from UCLA, I believe. His "eviction" is
still being litigated, but it's really about his wife's refusal to let
anyone into their apartment, despite the fact that their bathroom has
flooded and made uninhabitable the apartment below them. Those people
have moved and are suing the owners of the building/building management.

The wife claims no one can enter the apartment because it might kill
Kenny. He hasn't left the apartment in two years, but friends chat
with him on the phone and he seems fine.

His piano player from 1965 to 1974, Pichard Wyands just died, joining Larry Willis and Harold Mabern the third great jazz pianist who died in the last week or so. RIP.

Yup, I remember reading that Washington Post article around that time.
