Article on jazz radio

The New York Times has an interesting piece on WBGO, Newark/New York City's jazz station, with a little bit of comparison with KKJZ, out of Long Beach/Los Angeles.

Much of the article concerns racial politics, but there's some mention of the programming. Broadcast stations seem to have better-informed, more nuanced programming than internet sources, such as jazzradio.com that the fascist recently posted here.

These broadcast stations have net streams, of course, as do KCSM San Mateo/San Francisco, KNKX Tacoma/Seattle, and my favorite, all-volunteer WWOZ New Orleans.

Try KUVO.org in Denver. Plenty of socialism and Trump
hatred, so you'll feel right at home. Especially good
is this South American commie asswipe on Sunday mornings,
early, who does his best to piss on the USA - largely in
Spanish. Dude *hates* America, he's perfect for PBS.
They have a great library, which includes plenty of stuff
by top players that was recorded right here in the Phyllis
A. Greer Performance Studio. Speaking as a fascist (heh) I
wish they - like everyone else on PRI, NPR, PBS, Do-Whacka-Do
and whatever else they use to spew leftist propaganda - would
just shut the fuck up and play some music, to paraphrase
Laura Ingraham. Hopefully, when Trump wins his second (or
third) term, they'll get around to de-funding PBS and the
rest of the propaganda blasters who've been getting a free
ride on the American taxpayers for far too long. Let's see
how long they last in a free market. (See "Air America" for
