I can't tell you. I can tell you they feel very differently because of
the higher neck body joint of the Hofner.

I've only seen Verythins on pictures, but to me they look slimmer.

Yeah, definitely slimmer. I thought he was talking about the other
dimensions...

Phil,

I own a Verythin Classic and recently held a 335. Not sure of the
dimensions but I do know the Hofner is a lighter, more comfortable
guitar.

Other than depth, they are generally similar in size.

Closer inspection shows quite a bit of variation regarding placement
of the waist, shape and placement of the double cutaways. The current
Verythin is based on the shape of the original (and completely hollow)
Verithin, which was really Hofner's take on a Gibson ES-330. It's an
original shape, though, much like the Guild Starfire IV is an original
shape clearly based on the equivalent Gibson.

Why do you ask?

The scale is different, 24 and 3/4 for the ES-335 and 25 1/4 (I
believe) or either 25 1/2 for the Hofners (the Very Thin and the rest
of the models). I tried a Verythin in London but didn't find it
immediately appealing. I own a 1967 ES-335 which I compared it to. I
liked certain things about the Very Thin but did not (in the brief
time I played it) become attached to it. The ES-335 is heavier,
something I don't like.
