Lord Valve, you are correct.Perhaps there are better venues to talk about this other than this newsgroup. the 2020 election will decide America's fate.

Lord Valve, you are correct.Perhaps there are better venues to talk about this other than this newsgroup. the 2020 election will decide America's fate.
Indeed, I'm sure there are better venues for this
discussion, but you will note that no "off-topic"
hue and cry was raised when the thread entitled
"Jazz as protest in the age of Black Lives Matter"
was posted. It's been my experience here (and I've
been here a while) that anything which is off-topic
(i.e., political) is perfectly acceptable as long
as it's pro-leftist, pro socialism, pro communism,
etc. This, of course, reflects the political stance
of many musicians in this sad-sack era where leftists
think they own the arts - especially music - and that
anyone who doesn't toe that leftwing line couldn't
possibly have anything valid to say on the topic,
must be a no-blower, etc. It's pretty easy to see
that a few contradictory words from my direction
often cause vicious attacks from the "regulars,"
and the regulars are all leftwingers by virtue of
the fact that nearly all of the posters who are
of a different political position simply left this
group. Other, that is, than myself and one or two
others. While I agree that "The 2020 election will
decide America's fate" I'm afraid that fate will
be civil war, regardless of the outcome, and I for
one am tired of walking on eggshells to keep the
fucking communists quiet, not that I've done very
much of that in the past, I'll be the first to
admit, America truly is the last best place on
this earth, and it is under heavy assault from
people who are truly clueless, especially the
people in the Arts, who aren't able, for some
reason, to look at the results of previous
communist takeovers in other countries and see
that the entire cultural history of those countries
is the very first thing the communists do away with.
Jazz? Don't make me laugh - in music, it will (and
has been) the first thing to be erased/disappeared
for its decadent, dangerous Western origins. If we
(conservatives) do not win the coming conflict, the
whole world loses.

Think about that.

I hope to be headed toward better jazz guitar playing.
For me better jazz guitar playing would be a Revolution.

Indeed. That's why you posted a missive about how
little you care to a group you you don't participate

about your position. Perhaps you can listen to some
inspirational music while doing so:

The musically knowledgeable among those herein assembled
may wish to comment on the fact that the tune linked
above shares both rhythmic elements and the chord
progression with the famous "Roly-Poly,"an immortal
