Dumb question...

So how do you pronounce Clapton's instrumental, "Signe"

like "sign"... as in stop "sign"
or "sig-nay"... as in... well... like, a horse whinney?

I don't know, but strictly speaking there should be an acute accent on
the e if it's to be pronounced "sig-nay" (=signed). As it stands, the
French pronunciation would be "see-nyuh" (=sign).

Since Signe is a name, I would suggest pronouncing it like that.

Since Signe is a name, I would suggest pronouncing it like that.

If it's the Norwegian name Signe, it's pronounced Sing Ne, as in Ned
or Nefarious..
