In all the Universe, there can be only one. There are many classifications, but only one in all the Universe can be the best or the worst in any classification. I am humbled by my discovery of such a thing. I give you the worst music ever recorded by anyone, anywhere, from the beginning to the end of Time. I'm not kidding. It will take but 32 minutes to listen to the full album, and when you have done so, your perspective will have irrevocably changed. Anything you may listen to from this day forward will be measured against this standard. I'm not kidding. I give you "The Philosophy of the World," by The Shaggs, a journey to the bottom of a sonic hole from which you can never escape:

Wow, that IS bad. I thought Nickelback, Maroon 5, boy
bands, and most pop music of the Millenial generation
were the bottom of the sonic sewer. Clearly I was
mistaken :-O

My old lady argues that Yoko Ono is worse.
She may have a point...

Problem is, there is so much truly *BAD* music that it
is difficult to pick a worst place winner.

......

Well, I thought it was pretty good, even if the drummer was a tad bit off beat.

It's good for a group of kids who have never touched
a musical instrument in their lives. Compared to actual
music, it sucks.

Most deffinately. I doubt if there was much “engineering” to it. Probably recorded in one take on an ol walkensak reel to reel.
